Author's Bio

Karen George is author of five chapbooks, and three poetry collections from Dos Madres Press: Swim Your Way Back (2014) and A Map and One Year (2018), and Where Wind Tastes Like Pears (2021). She received grants from Kentucky Foundation for Women and Kentucky Arts Council, earned a BS in Computer Science, an MFA from Spalding University, and worked as a computer programmer/analyst. Her poetry has appeared in Valparaiso Poetry Review, South Dakota Review, Naugatuck River Review, I-70 Review, Verse Daily, and Poet Lore. She reviews poetry at Poetry Matters blog.
