Author's Bio

Karen George is author of five chapbooks, and two poetry collections from Dos Madres Press: Swim Your Way Back (2014) and A Map and One Year (2018). She received grants from Kentucky Foundation for Women and Kentucky Arts Council, earned a BS in Computer Science, an MFA from Spalding University, and worked as a computer programmer/analyst. Her poetry has appeared in Valparaiso Poetry Review, South Dakota Review, Naugatuck River Review, Verse Daily, and SWWIM. She reviews poetry at Poetry Matters blog, and is co-founder and fiction editor of the online journal, Waypoints.
