Author's Bio

Kevin McLellan is the author of: the full-length poetry collections, Ornitheology (The Word Works, 2018) which recieved honors at the 2019 Masssachusetts Book Awards and Tributary (Barrow Street, 2015); the book objects,  Hemispheres (Fact-Simile Editions, 2019) which resides in the special collections in the Poetry Center at the University of Arizona and the University of Buffalo library, and [box] (Letter [r] Press, 2016) which resides in the Blue Star Collection at Harvard University, the Tutt Library at Colorado College, and the special colletions at MIT and the History Project; and the chapbook, Round Trip (Seven Kitchens, 2010). He won the 2015 Third Coast Poetry Prize and Gival Press’ 2016 Oscar Wilde Award, and his poems have appeared in numerous journals. Apple Valley Review, Thrush Poetry Journal, The Journal of Compressed Creative Arts, WaxwingWest Branch, and The Word Works have all nominated his writing for the Pushcart Prize. He taught poetry workshops at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education and at the University of Rhode Island. Kevin is also Duck Hunting with the Grammarian: his video, Dick (2020) debuted at the 2021 Tag! Queer Shorts Film Festival. He lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
