Editorial Focus

We look for a well integrated manuscript of carefully crafted poems. No subject, style, or form restrictions. Manuscripts are read blind by poet reader/judges who care about strong voice and original work.

Tips From the Editor

For the Washington Prize, we offer feedback to all finalists and semi-finalists. The Hilary Tham Capital Collection is reserved for poets who volunteer for literary nonprofits, and a nomination form is available at our website. The Tenth Gate award, open to poets with a minimum of two previously published full-length collections, will accept manuscripts during the summer. Series editor is Leslie McGrath. Each May we hold a Reading Period, open to all past finalists and semi-finalists for our contests, all poets we have published previously, and all who have been nominated for the HTCC. Currently, International Editions is open by invitation only. For all imprints and contests, check our web page for guidelines and a link to our online submissions manager.
