The Colrain Poetry Manuscript Conference will be held online from May 16 to May 19. The conference features evaluation and discussion of book-length and chapbook-length poetry manuscripts with poets, editors, and publishers. The faculty includes poet Joan Houlihan and editor Jeff Shotts (Graywolf Press). The cost of the conference is $1,000. To apply, e-mail four or five poems of any length and a brief bio. The Salty Quill Writers’ Retreat for Women offers one-week residencies three times a year to twelve poets, fiction writers, nonfiction writers, and translators who identify as women at McGee Island, a 110-acre private island located three miles east of Port Clyde, Maine. Residents are provided with lodging at a turn-of-the-century oceanfront summer cottage in single- or shared-occupancy rooms, three chef-prepared meals a day, transportation to and from the island, and the opportunity to participate in after-dinner readings and critiques as well as kayaking, hiking, and taking a sauna.

The ninth annual Taos Writers Conference will be held from July 25 to July 27 at Society of the Muse of the Southwest, a literary organization in Taos, New Mexico. The conference features workshops for poets, fiction writers, creative nonfiction writers, and writers working in hybrid genres, as well as critique sessions, faculty readings, and roundtable discussions with authors on publishing. The faculty includes poets Aaron Abeyta, Holly Day, Veronica Golos, and Kyle Laws; fiction and nonfiction writers Sallie Bingham, E.J.

The 2025 Vasto Arts Workshop will be held from September 6 to September 13 at the liberty-style Villa Monteferrante in the town of Vasto, Italy, which overlooks the Adriatic Sea. Programming includes workshops, a guided tour of Vasto’s historic center, and visits to local artists’ studios for poets, fiction writers, creative nonfiction writers, and translators. The faculty includes poet and fiction writer Carolyn Marie Souaid and fiction writer and creative nonfiction writer Christopher DiRaddo.
