The 10th annual Taos Writers Conference will be held from July 24 to July 26 at the headquarters of the Society of the Muse of the Southwest, a literary organization in Taos, New Mexico. The conference features in-person and online workshops for poets, fiction writers, creative nonfiction writers, and writers working in hybrid genres, as well as critique sessions, faculty readings, and roundtable discussions on publishing. The faculty includes poets Sheila Carter-Jones, Kristina Marie Darling, Lise Goett, Renata Golden, Veronica Golos, Kyle Laws, Valerie Martinez, Juan J. Morales, Leslie Ullman, and Andrea L. Watson; fiction writers Linda Michel-Cassidy, Susan Mihalic, Sean Murphy, Andy Ray, Jean-Marie Saporito, and Naomi Wax; fiction and nonfiction writer Allegra Huston; and nonfiction writers Kate Christensen, Jamie Figueroa, Connie Josefs, and Rachel Weaver. Nonfiction writer Alexandra Fuller will deliver the keynote address. The full cost of the conference, which includes the keynote reading, roundtable lunch discussions, and faculty readings is $499 with registration by June 1 and $569 with registration between June 2 and July 22. Weekend workshops are $335 by June 1 and $385 thereafter. Friday intensive craft workshops, which include generative writing exercises, are $175 by June 1 and $199 thereafter.
