Good Hart Artist Residency

The Good Hart Artist Residency offers two- to three-week residencies year-round to artists and writers, including poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers, in the woods bordering the “Tunnel of Trees” Scenic Heritage Route in Good Hart, Michigan, a village located on Lake Michigan. One artist or writer attends the residency at a time. The resident is provided with a private bedroom, a living room, an open loft with a reading area, a patio, a kitchen, and a bathroom.

Todos Santos Writers Workshop Winter Session

The 2025 Todos Santos Writers Workshop Winter Session was held from February 1, 2025, to February 8, 2025, in Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, Mexico. The workshop offered daily classes and craft seminars in poetry, fiction, and memoir; one-on-one consultations with faculty; an open mic; a fiesta featuring regional food and cocktails; and beach hikes. The faculty included poet and nonfiction writer Christopher Merrill, fiction and nonfiction writers Gina Frangello and Karen Karbo, nonfiction writer Rex Weiner, and memoirist Jeanne McCulloch. The cost of tuition was $2,200.

Event Horizon

Event Horizon offers residencies of two weeks to three months year-round to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers on eight acres of olive groves in Crete, Greece. Residents are provided with lodging on site or in nearby affiliate housing, which includes a traditional Cretan house, a converted stone windmill, and two caravans, as well as work space in modern studios built from converted shipping containers. Residents will have access to nearby beaches and towns, including Fourní Village, Mirabello Bay, and Neapolis.

Colorado Prize for Poetry

McKnight Fellowships for Writers

Four prizes of $25,000 each will be given annually to Minnesota poets, prose writers, and spoken word artists. Fellows will also receive an all-expenses-paid, one- or two-week residency in partnership with Artist Communities Alliance and have the opportunity to attend one-on-one career consultations, workshops, and networking events run by the nonprofit organization Springboard for the Arts. The prize will be offered in poetry/spoken word and prose in alternating years; the 2025 fellowships will be awarded to fiction and creative nonfiction writers. Writers who have been residents of Minnesota for the year prior to the deadline and who will reside in Minnesota for the duration of the fellowship are eligible; writers must also have published at least one book, have had work appear in several journals, or have been booked to perform their work.
