Author's Bio

Ann Cefola is the author of Free Ferry (Upper Hand Press, 2017), and Face Painting in the Dark (Dos Madres Press, 2014); chapbooks St. Agnes, Pink-Slipped (Kattywompus Press, 2011) and Sugaring (Dancing Girl Press, 2007); and translations Alparegho, like nothing else (The Operating System, 2019), The Hero (Chax Press, 2018), and Hence this cradle (Seismicity Editions, 2007). She received a Witter Bynner Poetry Translation Residency at the Santa Fe Art Institute and the Robert Penn Warren Award judged by John Ashbery. Her work has appeared in journals such as AMP, Feminist Studies, and Gris-Gris; and her translations in journals such as carte-blanche, Eleven-Eleven, and Exchanges. Ann works as a writer in the New York area where she lives.
