Ann Cefola

Ann Cefola's most recent book is Séquence Long Island (L'Harmattan, 2026), cowritten in French with Jean-Luc Pouliquen and with a preface by Rosanna Warren. Ann is also the author of Free Ferry (Upper Hand Press, 2017), and Face Painting in the Dark (Dos Madres Press, 2014); chapbooks When the Pilotless Plain Arrives (Trainwreck Press, 2021), St. Agnes, Pink-Slipped (Kattywompus Press, 2011) and Sugaring (Dancing Girl Press, 2007); and translations Once, Poïena forthcoming from Chax Press in 2027, Alparegho, Like-nothing-else (Beautiful Days Press, 2025), The Hero / Hence this cradle (Trainwreck Press, 2022), The Hero (Chax Press, 2018), and Hence this cradle (Seismicity Editions, 2007). Ann received a Witter Bynner Poetry Translation Residency at the Santa Fe Art Institute and the Robert Penn Warren Award for Poetry selected by John Ashbery. She writes on Long Island where she lives.
