work_excerpt:
On your twenty-first birthday, we ascended the stairs as eager explorers moments away from dropping to our knees, unearthing the precious artifact we desperately coveted, kissing goodbye the ghost of un-discovery. We shed our husks for one another, we were ready for the harvest as you guided my hand through your thickets, helped me find the ripest fruit of them all, taught me how it was meant to be picked, gifted me my own sweet demise. (from "Donner la Mort")
