The Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts offers two- to eight-week residencies year-round to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers in the bur oak forests of Nebraska City, Nebraska. Residents are provided with lodging, private studio space, and a $175 weekly stipend, as well as access to a shared living room, kitchen, and balcony.

The Colrain Poetry Manuscript Conference will be held online from July 25 to July 28. The conference features evaluation and discussion of book-length and chapbook-length poetry manuscripts with poets, editors, and publishers. The faculty includes poet Joan Houlihan and poet and publisher Martha Rhodes (Four Way Books). The cost of the conference is $1,000. The Arteles Creative Center’s Silence Awareness Existence Residency Program offers one-month residencies to poets, fiction writers, nonfiction writers, and translators from January to March in the countryside region of Hämeenkyrö, Finland. Each resident is provided with a private bedroom and desk as well as access to shared kitchens, bathrooms, and studio spaces in two residency buildings. Residents also have access to a range of facilities, including a library, a meditation space, a sauna, and common areas. Two cars are available for transportation and exploration.
