Author's Bio

Rebecca Macijeski holds a PhD in Poetry from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts. In addition, she has served as an Assistant Editor in Poetry for Hunger Mountain and Prairie Schooner and as an assistant to Ted Kooser’s newspaper column, American Life in Poetry. She has attended artist residencies with The Ragdale Foundation, Art Farm Nebraska, and the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center. Her poems have appeared widely in such journals as Nimrod, The Missouri Review, The Journal, Sycamore Review, Gargoyle, Poet Lore, Painted Bride Quarterly, Rappahannock Review, Tinderbox Poetry Journal, and others. She is Creative Writing Program Coordinator and Assistant Professor in the Department of English, Foreign Languages, and Cutural Studies at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
