The program offers fellowships and merit awards.
Students attend two ten-day residencies each year, in June/July and December/January, on the Vermont VCFA Campus along with overseas and domestic residencies held in unique cities of literary merit. Concurrent virtual residencies are also offered. The primary summer residency is held on the beautiful Colorado College campus, and is also augmented with overseas, domestic, and virtual residence.
For Summer/Fall, the priority scholarship deadline is February 1; the final deadline is April 1. For Winter/Spring the priority deadline is August 1; the final deadline is October 1.
