Fine Arts Work Center Summer Workshop Program
The Fine Arts Work Center’s annual weeklong summer workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction will be held at the center from June 15 to August 16 in Provincetown, Massachusetts.

A Rally of Writers
The 38th annual A Rally of Writers conference was held on April 12 at the West Campus of Lansing Community College in Lansing, Michigan. The conference featured workshops, craft classes, panel discussions, and readings in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. Participating writers included poets Dennis Hinrichsen and Ruelaine Stokes; fiction writers Caitlin Horrocks and Alex Kourvo; and nonfiction writer Robert M Weir. Fiction writer Erin Bartels gave the keynote address.

Paris Writer’s Residency
The Paris Writer’s Residency will offer a monthlong residency in October to poets, fiction writers, creative nonfiction writers, and translators at the American University of Paris. The resident is provided with an en suite single or double room, which includes a work desk, at the Irish Cultural Center in Paris. Some rooms include a private study space, and residents have access to a shared kitchen. Access to the library at the Ecole Normale Supérieure is also offered. The resident receives travel reimbursement of up to €1,500 (approximately $1,544).

Visual Arts Center of Richmond
The Visual Arts Center of Richmond (VisArts) offers an 11-month residency from September 1, 2025, to July 31, 2026, to a poet, fiction writer, or nonfiction writer at the Virginia Dairy building in Richmond’s historic Fan District. The residency includes private studio space, an honorarium of $5,000, and a $500 budget for materials. The resident writer has the opportunity to teach up to two classes at VisArts on a paid contract basis, host regular studio visits with donors and open studio events, and give a public reading.

Sarah Lawrence College Poetry Festival
The 2025 Sarah Lawrence College Poetry Festival will be held from April 25 to April 27 on the Sarah Lawrence College campus in Bronxville, New York, 30 minutes by train from New York City. The festival features workshops, readings, panel discussions, and craft talks. The faculty includes poets Hala Alyan, Caroline Bird, Sophie Cabot Black, Victoria Redel, Sam Sax, R. A. The Lab Creative Writing Retreat
The 2025 Lab Creative Writing Retreat will be held from June 14 to June 21 at the Son Sion villa in the village of Porreres, located on a Mediterranean island 30 minutes south of Mallorca, Spain. Programming includes workshops, one-on-one meetings with authors and agents, and space and time to write for poets, fiction writers, nonfiction writers, and translators.

Tremont Writers Conference
The Tremont Writers Conference will be held from October 22 to October 26 at the Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont, located in the eponymous national park six miles southwest of Townsend, Tennessee. The conference features workshops, author readings, and craft talks for poets, fiction writers, and nonfiction writers, as well as outdoor activities, including hikes and campfires. The faculty includes poet Maurice Manning, fiction writers David Joy and Karen Spears Zacharias, and nonfiction writer Crystal Wilkinson.

Get Lit! Festival
The 27th annual Get Lit! Festival was held online and in person from April 10 to April 13 at various venues in and around Spokane, Washington. The festival featured readings, craft classes, panel discussions, and a bookfair at Montvale Event Center for poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers. Participating writers included poets Andrés Cerpa, Ayokunle Falomo, and Margot Kahn; fiction writers Debra Magpie Earling, Jessica E.

The Writer’s Retreat at Good Contrivance Farm
Good Contrivance Farm, an educational nonprofit, offers residencies of up to four weeks year-round to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers on a Victorian farm in Reisterstown, Maryland, located 24 miles north of Baltimore. Workshops and craft classes with visiting faculty are offered outdoors from May to September. The faculty includes poet and nonfiction writer Ross Gay, memoirist R. Eric Thomas, and publishing professional Jane Friedman (Jane Friedman Media).
