The 2025 Red Clay Writers Conference, sponsored by the Georgia Writers Association (GWA), was held on April 26 at Kennesaw State University. The conference featured writing workshops and panels on literary journals and publishing for poets, fiction writers, and nonfiction writers. Participating writers included poets Andrea Jurjević and Joshua L. Martin and novelist and memoirist Garrard Conley. Participating publishing professionals included Kurt Milberger (Kennesaw State University) and Anna Sandy-Elrod (Ghost Peach Press). The cost of the conference was $85; students and GWA members received a 40 percent discount. Scholarships were available; to apply, writers submitted 10 pages of poetry or prose and a cover letter.
