Red Clay Writers Conference

The 2026 Red Clay Writers Conference, sponsored by the Georgia Writers Association (GWA), will be held on October 17 at Kennesaw State University. The conference features writing workshops and panels on literary journals and publishing for poets, fiction writers, and nonfiction writers. Participating writers include poets Rose McLarney and Amy Pence, fiction writers Garrard Conley and Parul Kapur, and creative nonfiction writer Justin Gardiner. Participating publishing professionals include Kurt Milberger (Headlight Review) and Anna Sandy-Elrod (Ghost Peach Press). The keynote speaker is nonfiction writer Danté Stewart. The cost of the conference is $85; students and GWA members receive a 30 percent discount.
