The Orion Environmental Writers’ Workshop will be held from June 14 to June 19 at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York. The program features workshops, faculty readings, panels on publishing, and conversations with faculty members and Orion editors for poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers “seeking to reflect their environments through their work.” The faculty includes poets Michael Kleber-Diggs and Roger Reeves, fiction and nonfiction writer Isle McElroy, and nonfiction writers Hannah Dela Cruz Abrams, Erica Berry, Maria Pinto, and Nick Triolo. Tuition is $1,300 ($1,150 at the early-bird rate). Lodging, meals, and all-inclusive use of site facilities costs between $575 and $1,850 depending on the choice of accommodation. To apply, submit up to six pages of poetry or up to 1,500 words of prose and a cover letter by May 1 (or by March 15 for the early-bird rate). There is no application fee.
