Author's Bio

Liz Prato is the author of Volcanoes, Palm Trees, and Privilege: Essays on Hawai‘i (Overcup Press, April 2019), Baby’s on Fire: Stories (Press 53, 2015), and editor of The Night, and the Rain, and the River: 22 Stories(Forest Avenue Press, 2014). Her work has appeared in over three dozen publications, includingThe Rumpus, Carolina Quarterly, Hayden’s Ferry Review, Salon, Subtropics, and ZYZZYVA. Most recently, one of Liz’s essays was chosen as a Notable selection in both Best American Essays and Best American Sports Writing.
