Editorial Focus

Forest Avenue Press publishes literary fiction on a joyride and the occasional memoir. We especially love working with BIPOC, queer, neurodivergent, and disabled authors.

Tips From the Editor

We love manuscripts that inspire delight and wonder, so we're not the best place for ragey stories or deeply sad ones. We love first-time authors and helping them learn about the industry as we move through every step of the publishing process. We look at memoirs on a request basis only and have no plans to host an open call for those.
