Author's Bio

Jeffrey N. Johnson’s first play, Affair at the Hotel Opal, just had its first production at the Potomac Players 4th Annual One-Act Festival in Hagerstown, Maryland. His short story collection OTHER FINE GIFTS won an Ippy Award for Best Regional Fiction/Mid-Atlantic, and his novel THE HUNGER ARTIST was a finalist for the Library of Virginia’s People’s Choice Award. He has also been awarded the Andrew Lytle Fiction Prize from The Sewanee Review and a fellowship at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. His fiction and poetry have been widely published, including  Aethlon: The Journal of Sport Literature, Birmingham Poetry Review, The Carolina Quarterly, The Connecticut Review, Dos Passos Review, The Evansville Review, Gargoyle, Potomac Review, Red Rock Review, South Carolina Review, South Dakota Review, War, Literature and the Arts, and Wisconsin Review.
