Prizes Won: 
Finalist for the Library of Virginia's People's Choice Award in Fiction. Awarded the Andrew Nelson Lytle Fiction Prize for best short story published in the Sewanee Review in 2011. Short story collection "Home and Abroad" was a semi-finalist for the St Lawrence Book Award, sponsored by the Black Lawrence Press. "Creative Fellow" grant from the Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation supported a fellowship at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA). A short story "The Waters of Casablanca" was broadcast on the radio program "Writers in the Attic" on WECS 90.1FM in Connecticut.
