Author's Bio

Christina Lovin's prose and poetry has appeared in over one hundred literary journals and anthologies in the U.S., as well as abroad. She has published six volumes of poetry (God of Sparrows, Echo, A Stirring in the Dark, Flesh, Little Fires, and What We Burned for Warmth). Lovin is the recipient of numerous poetry awards, writing residencies, fellowships, and grants, most notably the AWP Kurt Brown Scholarship, the Al Smith Fellowship from Kentucky Arts Council, Kentucky Foundation for Women Artist Enrichment Grants, and an Elizabeth George Foundation Grant. A native Illinoisan, Lovin currently teaches writing full-time in Central Kentucky, where she is accessory faculty in the Bluegrass Writers Studio, the MFA program at Eastern Kentucky University.
