Editorial Focus
Twisted Tongue primarily focuses on poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and art with the welcome of hybrids. The work that it looks for focuses on deeply expressing being human. It hopes to push the boundaries on what representation looks like in the literary world and encourages people from marginalized and silenced communities to submit. It wants to have the hard conversations, provide a much more accurate representation of diversity, and would like to present this realness in ways that are distinct, bold, skillful, and confident.

Twisted Tongue is all about being bold, confident, and real. We’re looking for writing that has personality, vulnerability, emotion. The more we can see you, your time, your effort, and your care in a piece, the more it will resonate with us!
