Author's Bio

Tina Barr’s volumes of poetry include her first book, The Gathering Eye, winner of the Tupelo Press Editor's Award, & At Dusk on Naskeag Point, The Fugitive Eye, and Red Land, Black Land, all winners of national chapbook competitions. Her next book, Kaleidoscope, is forthcoming from Iris Press in spring 2015. She has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Tennessee Arts Commission, the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, The MacDowell Colony, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and Ucross Foundation. Former director of the Creative Writing Program at Rhodes College and Charles R. Glover Chair of English Studies, she teaches in the Great Smokies Writing Program at UNCA
