Editorial Focus

We host writing contests in Fiction and Poetry and welcome international submissions. We juxtapose tradition with experiment, the up-and-comer with the established writer and create a new dialogue.

**The Writer's Hotel is the editorial arm of TNG. The Writer's Hotel hosts Master Classes in Fiction, Nonfiction and Poetry in Midtown, Manhattan. This year's event is June 10-16, 2015. www.newguardreview.com/#tabTHEWRITERSHOTEL

TNG & The Writer's Hotel are writers for writers' sake.

Tips From the Editor

TNG Vol. V contests are open!

TNG Volume V judges are Adam Braver, Fiction and Roger Bonair-Agard, Poetry.

Contest rules: Machigonne Fiction Contest: 5,000 words max, any genre. Knightville Poetry Contest: 150 lines max, any form. Winners in Poetry and Fiction get a $1,000 prize and publication. Finalists are also published. Judging is blind. We pay strict attention to word and line count. Unpublished work only. Simultaneous submissions accepted.

Our online segment, "BANG!" is open for submissions year-round. BANG! is a showcase for very short work. BANG! serves as a sort of calling card for the author. Submit: www.newguardreview.com/#tabBANG All other material is published in print, only in The New Guard.
