Author's Bio

I'm a widely published poet, as well as a teacher of both critical and creative writing. Over the course of my academic career, I've taught students at The Univ. of Michigan, Siena College, The College of St. Rose, and most recently, SUNY Albany. I love helping others better understand literature, develop their writing and even see their work published.

My poetry's recently appeared in the Harvard Review Online, Rattle, The Common, Prairie Schooner and North American Review, among others.

My debut book manuscript, "Out of Nowhere," was recently shortlisted for both the Marystina Santiestevan First Book Prize and the Cider Press Review Book Award.
