Author's Bio

Shelley Wong is a Headlands Center for the Arts affiliate artist and the author of RARE BIRDS (Diode Editions, 2017). Her poems have appeared in American Poetry Review, Gulf Coast, Kenyon Review, and the New Republic. She has received a Pushcart Prize and fellowships from Kundiman, the MacDowell Colony, Kenyon Review Writers Workshop, and Palm Beach Poetry Festival, and residencies from I-Park Foundation, Fire Island National Seashore, and SPACE. She holds an MFA from the Ohio State University. Her first full-length book manuscript has been a finalist for book prizes from Alice James Books and YesYes Books.
