Author's Bio

My 2015 poetry collection The Scheme of Things was published by David Robert Books. My work has appeared in LIBER: A Feminist Journal, Cold Mountain Review, Plume, Paterson Literary Review, the Journal of the American Medical Association, The Hudson Review, The Cincinnati Review, Prairie Schooner, and elsewhere. My work as a Geraldine Dodge Poet in the Schools and as co-founder of the Society for Veterinary Medicine and Literature reflects my strong interest in bringing literature into diverse environments and disciplines.  I co-edited the anthology, Animal Companions, Animal Doctors, Animal People: Poems, essays and stories on our essential connections (Ontario Veterinary College, UofGuelph 2012). I'm co-president of the Sandisfield Arts Center, a small art and performance center in Berkshire County, Massachusetts.
