Author's Bio

Bonnie Jill Emanuel's poetry appears in American Poetry Review, Colorado Review, Mid-American Review, and other publications. She holds  an MFA from The City College of New York, where she received the Jerome Lowell DeJur Award in Creative Writing and the Irwin and Alice Stark Poetry Prize.  Her first full-length poetry collection is forthcoming with Cornerstone Press (UWSP) in 2024.

Finalist for the 2021 Off The Grid Prize (GRID BOOKS) for a full-length collection, 2021 Gerald Cable Book Award (SILVERFISH REVIEW PRESS), 2022 Hilary Tham Capital Collection Award (WORD WORKS), and the 2022 Idaho Prize for Poetry (LOST HORSE PRESS).


"Prayer Down Depot Road" was nominated for the Pushcart Prize. 

"Colors Of A Roadhouse Porch" was nominated for Best Of The Net.
