Half Mystic, established in 2015, is an independent, internationally-acclaimed publishing house, literary journal, and arts organisation dedicated to the celebration of music in all its forms.

We are interested in music, in every form that takes. More specifically: we like books that are different from anything we’ve ever published, books that introduce music into their lexicon in stunning and surprising ways. We look for work that defies genre, accounts for the unaccountable, wakes us up, burns us whole. We generally gravitate to the lyrical over the straight-talking and the surreal over the down-to-earth—but also, we like to be surprised.

Vinita Agrawal

I've been writing for a while now but everyday I feel there's still so much to learn about the craft of writing. It's like one is a student always.
I write poetry mostly. My poems are on existentialism, on gender, on nature and environment and on climate change.

I'd love to receive feedback on my poems here. Just anything that might help to make them better. In return I'd be happy to offer the same to all the others here.

Story Unlikely is an award-winning monthly email publication that features quality fiction and nonfiction that focuses on storytelling.

Most stories get ‘bumped’ before we finish reading the first page (that’s right, we’re a merciless bunch). A trained eye can tell the quality of a story and the ability of the storyteller from only a few sentences, so tighten that opening!

Marj Hahne

  • 2015 MFA graduate of Rainier Writing Workshop
  • YouTube channel here in profile is poem pairings with beer, spirits, coffee, and dogs (others' poems, not my own!)

Not seeking a writing group at this time; I thought this profile was simply for sharing our writings if we respond to the The Time Is Now prompts.
