Night Picnic is a literary journal that publishes novels, novellas, plays, short and flash stories, fairytales for adults, poetry, interviews, essays (including popular science essays), letters to the editors, and artwork.

Tips From the Editor

Night Picnic is a curated journal of literature and art devoted to work that is strange, luminous, uncanny, and emotionally resonant. We welcome the surreal, the lyrical, the dark, the jubilant, and the genre-bending, but do not consider straightforward memoir, hard science fiction, political essays, or explicit pornography. Writers must be at least eighteen years old to submit.
