Editorial Focus

Reading into Culture is a quarterly international literary magazine. It publishes essays, poetry, and short fiction exploring the intersections of art, culture, and society from a young, left-wing perspective.

Tips From the Editor

We look for writing that is slippery, and we avoid publishing overt and didactic pieces, especially in fiction and poetry.

Although we are an explicitly political magazine, the pieces do not need to be explicity political. The political exists in the act of interpretation.
