Editorial Focus

Night Picnic is a journal of literature and art that publishes novels, novellas, plays, short and flash stories, fairytales for adults, poetry, interviews, essays (including popular science essays), letters to the editors, and artwork.

Tips From the Editor

We encourage authors to submit all that is strange, dark, jubilant, complex, confusing, scary, mystical, and multidimensional. We do not publish memoirs, heavy science fiction, political essays, or pornography. We do not publish manuscripts with chauvinistic and fascistic tendencies. You must be at least eighteen years old to submit.
