Editorial Focus
JuxtaProse is an online literary journal that publishes fiction, nonfiction, and poetry from around the world. Its contributors have included Pulitzer Prize, National Book Award, and Man Booker Prize winners, and other acclaimed authors from fifteen different countries. Alongside these established voices, the editors make a concentrated effort to publish the work of emerging authors—including students and previously unpublished authors. Each issue reaches over 10,000 readers.
Tips From the Editor
We believe that good storytelling begins with character. While we will consider any story that possesses literary merit, genre fiction is not our emphasis and will be a particularly difficult sell. We currently publish approximately 3% of the fiction submissions, 4% of the nonfiction submissions, and less than 1% of the poetry submissions we receive.
