Author's Bio

Rob Vance is both a writer and visual artist. A late bloomer as a wordsmith, his first 30 years were spent in the realm of visual media, while recently his focus has changed to poetry. Rob’s work often draws on his experiences as a runner, cyclist, and triathlete. After he quit smoking in his 30s, Rob took up cycling to improve his health. He soon discovered that he had a competitive streak and as an age-group athlete, he has enjoyed a trip to the Ironman World Championships as well as several podium finishes in local Grand Prix. Rob still competes as an ultramarathoner and can be found on local trails in the early morning hours.

Robert holds an MFA from Queens University of Charlotte and an BA from Old Dominion University. He is a member of the Association of Writers and Writing Programs (AWP), and North Carolina Writers’ Network (NCWN).
