Author's Bio

L.B. Sedlacek is a poet, writer, and poem critic.  Her poetry books and chapbooks include "Swim," "Ghost Policy," "Words and Bones," "Happy Little Clouds," "The Poet Next Door," and "The Architect of French Fries."  She is also author of the short stories books "The Jackalope Committee and Other Tales" and  "Four Thieves of Vinegar & Other Short Stories."  She recently served as the Vice President for her local Arts Council Board.  She published “The Poetry Market E-zine,” a free monthly resource for poets for 20 years.  L.B. also created @poetryinla on FB which inspired the poetry book “Poetry in LA - Only in LA.”  She has taught poetry to elementary and middle school students.  She holds a BA in Business and a MA in Speech, Communications and Theatre Arts.  She was also Poetry Editor for “ESC! Magazine” and co-hosted the small press podcast “Coffee House to Go” with Michael Potter.  Her poems have appeared in numerous publications.  L.B. also enjoys reading, swimming and playing the ukulele.
