Author's Bio

BIO: LB Sedlacek is a poet, editor, publisher, author and poem critic. Her latest poetry books are "Words and Bones" published by Finishing Line Press, "The Architect of French Fries" published by Presa Press, and "The Adventures of Stick People on Cars" published by Alien Buddha Press. She is also the author several other chapbooks, several of which ("Poetry in LA (Only in LA)," “Mars or Bust,” “Hey Astro!,” and “Infra Dig (It’s a Chemical Life)”) were successfully funded poetry projects on Kickstarter. In 2001, she created and still publishes “The Poetry Market E-zine,” a free monthly resource for poets. In 2017, she created a local Facebook page for local poetry (@poetryinla) which has inspired the poetry chapbook and E-book “Only in LA (LA poems).” She teaches poetry to local elementary and middle school students. She has a BA in Business and a MA in Speech, Communications and Theatre Arts. She is also a former Poetry Editor for “ESC! Magazine” and co-hosted the small press podcast “Coffee House to Go” for several years with Michael Potter. Her poems have appeared in numerous publications such as “Big Pulp,” “Branches,” “Tales of the Talisman,” “The Broken Plate,” “Pure Francis,” “Mastodon Dentist,” and others. In her free time, she enjoys swimming and volunteering for her local humane society.
