Author's Bio

Karin Cecile Davidson is the author of the story collection The Geography of First Kisses (Kallisto Gaia Press, 2023), winner of the Acacia Fiction Prize, and the novel Sybelia Drive (Braddock Avenue Books, 2020). Her stories have appeared in Five PointsStory MagazineThe Massachusetts Review, Colorado Review, The Los Angeles ReviewPost RoadPassages North, and elsewhere. Her awards include an Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award, the Waasmode Prize, the Orlando Prize, a Peter Taylor Fellowship, and residencies at the Fine Arts Work Center, Atlantic Center for the Arts, and The Studios of Key West. Her fiction has been nominated for Pushcart and Best of the Net, as well as shortlisted for the Glimmer Train Short Story Award for New Writers, the Nelligan Prize, the Red Hen Press Women's Prose Prize, and the Faulkner-Wisdom Writing Competition, among others. She has an MFA from Lesley University and worked as an editor at Narrative Magazine (2010-2014) and as the Interviews Editor for Newfound Journal (2014 to 2021). Originally from New Orleans, she now lives in Columbus, Ohio. Her writing can be found at karinceciledavidson.com.
