Author's Bio

Chad Simpson is the author of Tell Everyone I Said Hi, chosen by Jim Shepard as winner of the 2012 John Simmons Short Fiction Award, and published in October 2012 by the University of Iowa Press. His work has appeared in McSweeney's Quarterly, Esquire, The Rumpus, The Sun, Crab Orchard Review, and many other print and online publications. He has received a Tennessee Williams Scholarship from the Sewanee Writers' Conference and a work-study ("waiter") scholarship from the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference. The recipient of a $7,000 Individual Artist Fellowship from the Illinois Arts Council, he has been nominated for several Pushcart Prizes. He lives in Monmouth, Illinois, and teaches at Knox College, where he is an Associate Professor of English.
