Caleb Nolen is the author of Afterlight, which won the 2025 Agha Shahid Ali Prize in Poetry and will be published by The University of Utah Press in the spring of 2026. He has received support from Blue Mountain Center and Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, where he was a work-study scholar. His poems have appeared in 32 Poems, Bat City Review, Fence, Georgia Review, Gulf Coast, The Sun, and elsewhere. Born in Wisconsin and raised largely in Pennsylvania and Maryland, he now lives in the Shenandoah Valley.
