The 2018 Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference will be held from August 15 to August 25 in the Green Mountains of Ripton, Vermont. The conference includes workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as lectures, craft classes, meetings with editors and agents, and readings by faculty and guests. The faculty includes poets Stephanie Burt, Daisy Fried, A. Van Jordan, Ange Mlinko, Patrick Phillips, A. E. Stallings, Monica Youn, and C. Dale Young; fiction writers Michael Byers, Christopher Castellani, Samantha Hunt, Tania James, Mat Johnson, Alix Ohlin, Akhil Sharma, Laura van den Berg, Josh Weil, and Tiphanie Yanique; and creative nonfiction writers Emily Raboteau, Paisley Rekdal, and David Treuer. Tuition is $3,395, which includes lodging and meals. The fee for auditors who do not have a manuscript is $3,255. Financial aid is available.
