Author's Bio

I currently live in the DC Metro area, after years of many lives in the Bay Area (SF, Oakland, Berkeley),  followed up by  a long life life as a professor of English Literature and Creative Writing (MFA program) at Indiana University-Bloomington. I am also an attorney, with special interests in social justice/civil rights law, animal law, and family law.   I currently offer occasional workshops in both fiction and nonfiction (at various levels) and craft classes at The Writer's Center in Bethesda.
