Mesa Verde Writers Conference

The Mesa Verde Writers Conference, sponsored by Mancos Creative District, will be held on July 10 and July 11 at the Mancos Commons Building in downtown Mancos, Colorado. The conference features workshops for poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers, and is followed on July 12 by a literary festival with pop-up activities throughout Mancos. North Carolina Writers’ Network Squire Summer Writing Workshops

The Studios of Key West

The Studios of Key West offers monthlong residencies to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers at the Old Town campus in Key West, Florida. Sunlit Residency

Sunlit Residency offers weekly residencies of one to three weeks and monthly residencies of up to three months year-round to poets, fiction writers, nonfiction writers, and translators at the Sue-Je Lee Gage Residency for Human Rights and Social Justice in Ithaca, New York. The residency offers time and space to write and one-on-one consultations by request. Two prizes of £5,000 (approximately $6,482) each and publication in the Bridport Prize anthology are given annually for a poem and a short story. A second-place prize of £1,000 (approximately $1,296) and publication is also given in each category. Additionally, a prize of £1,000 (approximately $1,296) and publication is given for a work of flash fiction. Romalyn Ante will judge in poetry, Leone Ross will judge in short fiction, and Toby Litt will judge in flash fiction. Submit a poem of up to 42 lines, a story of up to 5,000 words, or a work of flash fiction of up to 250 words by May 31.
