Collateral is an online literary arts journal publishing work concerned with the impact of violent conflict and military service beyond the combat zone. We are an all-volunteer masthead of women and nonbinary folks whose lives are affected by war and military service, and we are searching for art that confronts the “collateral” effects of war, including the immigrant story, the military family story, the reintegration and survival story, the protest story, and more.
