Editorial Focus
The Calyx Hope Network publishes whimsical, lyrical writing, photography, and botanical illustration - all of the botanical and fantastical sort. They are a themed publication whose themes change each reading period, and are based on the issue’s chosen plant and the current season.
Tips From the Editor
Choose whimsical writing, and pay special attention to your diction, imagery, and storytelling.
Photography of the issue’s chosen plant is always preferred, although other natural or wondrous images may also be accepted.
Botanical illustration must be botanically accurate, and drawings of the issue’s plant are preferred.
