Editorial Focus
Red River Review seeks poetry, short fiction, creative nonfiction, hybrid and interdisciplinary work, and visual art shaped by craft, artistic intention, and purposeful use of form. We are drawn to literary work attentive to language, image, voice, and structure, and visual work shaped by clarity of vision, emotional resonance, and thoughtful composition. Rooted in its history as one of the first online poetry journals, Red River Review welcomes work that takes formal, emotional, or imaginative risks while remaining grounded in craft, clarity, and creative purpose.
Tips From the Editor
Submit polished, intentional work that demonstrates attention to craft, voice, image, form, and emotional resonance. We are drawn to pieces that offer a new way of seeing or risk something meaningful on the page. Please read recent work in Red River Review before submitting.
