Editorial Focus
Fourth Genre is devoted to publishing notable, innovative work in literary (creative) nonfiction, and are especially looking to provide space to voices less seldom heard from in literary publications. We think of the genre as flexible, fluid, and expansive, and so we’re looking for essays in any variety–lyrical, familiar, personal, nature, environmental, travel, and especially graphic. We're especially interested in essays that reflect intersections of race, ethnicity, class, sexuality, dis/ability, among others. See the editor's note in issue 18.1 for more about this.
