Michele Karas holds an MFA from CUNY - The City College of New York, where she was the 2016 recipient of the The Jerome Lowell Dejur Award in Creative Writing. A 2019 finalist for the 92Y Rachel Wetzsteon Poetry Prize, Michele's poems appear or are forthcoming in San Diego Poetry Annual: Best Poems of San Diego 2019Pretty Owl Poetry, Rust + Moth, Alaska Quarterly Review, THRUSH, and elsewhere. She lives in New York City, where she writes content for a global television network.
