Author's Bio

Michele Karas holds an MFA from CUNY - The City College of New York, where she was the 2016 recipient of the The Jerome Lowell Dejur Award in Creative Writing. A 2019 finalist for the 92Y Rachel Wetzsteon Poetry Prize, Michele's poems have appeared in the Mid-American Review, Northern Virginia ReviewSan Diego Poetry Annual: Best Poems of San Diego 2019Alaska Quarterly Review, Thrush, Tinderbox Poetry Journal, and elsewhere. She lives in New York City, where she writes content for a global television network and edits poetry for the online poetry journal The Night Heron Barks.
