Author's Bio

Neurodivergent activist-artist Michael Hoerman has developed community-based poetry happenings in the Ozarks, New England, and Gulf Coast regions. His poems appear in noteworthy anthologies—Off the Cuffs (Soft Skull Press), Mischief, Caprice and Other Poetic Strategies (Red Hen Press), The Bedside Guide to No Tell Motel (No Tell Books), Fuck Poems (Lavender Ink)—and in outlaw journals including 2River View, Arkansas Literary Forum, Big Muddy, California QuarterlyChiron Review, Eureka Literary MagazineFreshwater, Main Street Rag, Potomac Review, and Rockhurst Review. Michael performed in NYC at Bowery Poetry Club, Bryant Park Reading Series, louderARTS, and Nuyorican Poets Cafe. His critical recognition includes a Massachusetts Artists Fellowship in the category of Poetry. He co-founded the groundbreaking National Poetry Slam team from Fayetteville, Ark.
