Author's Bio

Dr. Newell (MA Columbia, BA Berkeley) received a doctorate from Fordham University in American Literature, with a focus on literature and the environment. She has taught literature and writing at Fordham University, West Point, and other colleges. She lives in the Hudson Highlands and curates the Hudson Highlands Poetry Series in Garrison. She is co-editor of an ecopoetics special issue for Dispatches journal <http://dispatchespoetrywars.com> forthcoming in Spring 2020.
