Author's Bio

Donna Obeid is an award-winning author and educator based in Northern California. She has been nominated for Best of the Net, multiple times for the Pushcart Prize, and was recently shortlisted for the Granum Foundation Prize; she has has received writing prizes from the Julia Peterkin Literary Awards, New Flash Fiction Review Award, Raymond Carver Short Story Contest, and Seventeen Magazine’s Fiction Contest. Donna earned a BA in English and Comparative Literature with Honors from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and an MA and MFA from American University where she was a teaching fellow. Earlier in her career, she was a two-year visiting scholar in Southeast Asia.
