Author's Bio

Dan Murphy is the author of Estate Sale (Utah of University Press, 2025) which won the Agha Shahid Ali Prize in poetry. A former carpenter and boxer, he teaches at Boston University and Waring School. He recently served as Writer-in-Residence at Phillips Academy. He was awarded a Robert Pinsky Global Fellowship at Boston University, and a Grace Abernethy Scholarship at Emory University. His poems appear in Sugar House Review, The Summerset Review, TAB Journal, The Adirondack Review, Slipstream, Terrain.org, and elsewhere.
