Author's Bio

Founded The Poet's Press in 1971 in NYC; press still operates in Pittsburgh, PA with 318 books to date. As a neo-Romantic poet, areas of special focus in his writing are the Gothic and supernatural, Greek myth, and verse plays. Semi-retired now; worked & taught at University of Rhode Island. Academic work includes studies of Edgar Allan Poe, Virginia Woolf, World War I literature, Phillis Wheatley, ancient Greek poets, and the history of supernatural poetry.
