Editorial Focus

Founded in 1971, the press specializes in lesser-known 1960s, 1970s New York poets, neoromantic and gothic poetry, annotated reprints of lost poets, new translations of classic literature, and topical or regional anthologies. The Yogh & Thorn Books imprint is used for more scholarly projects, including annotated editions. Recent translations have included poems from ancient Greece, Tang dynasty China, and Victor Hugo's epic poem, The Terrible Year.
